A slow half-day around Tegoia, Pieve di Pernina and the Montagnola woods. This is the closest outing to Casa al Gianni and the best introduction to its landscape.

Suggested route

  1. 01

    Begin in Tegoia and take time to walk through the small village.

  2. 02

    Continue towards the Romanesque Pieve di San Giovanni Battista at Pernina, checking access and road conditions in advance.

  3. 03

    Follow only marked woodland paths for a short walk; surfaces can be slippery after rain and in autumn.

  4. 04

    Return to Tegoia for lunch or an aperitivo before heading back to Simignano.
